All of your WhatsApp activities and messages with a contact are automatically recorded on the HubSpot contact page. We call it activity logging. A log includes all of the activities in a 3-hour period of time. It can include:
- All the text messages your team and the contact exchange with each other in 3-hour blocks
- The name of the team member(s) and the contact who sent the message
- The date and time of a message
- When a conversation opened
- Who opened/closed a conversation or assigned it to a team member
Here’s how a log looks like:
Logs are recorded as follows:
- When messaging starts, a log will be created 3 hours later, containing all the activities of the previous 3 hours.
- From then on, a new log is created every 3 hours.
- For example, a log at 3:30 PM will record all activities between 12:30 PM and 3:30 PM.
- If there are no messages or activities in a 3-hour window, no log will be created.
How to see the activity logging for a contact
To see the WhatsApp activity loggings of a contact in HubSpot, go to the HubSpot contact page. Then follow these steps:
- Click Activities → Filter activity drop-down menu.
- Check the WhatsApp for Sales box.
- Click outside the box and you see the list of activity loggings.
- Click on a single log to expand and see the details of it.
