With Roles and Permissions, you can lock down certain parts of the Rasayel platform to various team members based on their role.
For example, you can prevent your support team from creating a new Campaign, and restrict that feature only to your marketing team. If some of your conversations contain highly sensitive information, you can restrict them to a specific role, or only to the team member assigned to the conversation.
There’s a lot more than you can do with this feature based on your team’s needs.
How to use Roles and Permissions
Go to Settings → Users and Permissions
As an admin, you can now see there are two roles that have already been created for your application, Admin and Member.
From here, you can create a new role, or modify the existing Member role.
When you create a new role, you can add a new name and description to help you differentiate the role from the others.
You can then select the permissions that this role will have. By default, everything is hidden from the role except the bare essentials, such as the Inbox etc.
Note you can hide unassigned conversations, or conversations assigned to other teammates from users with this role, if you wish.
Once your role is created, and your permissions configured, you can add that role to one of your existing teammates:
If you want to invite a new teammate, you can invite them using your new role as well:
