What are Push Notifications?
Push notifications are a mechanism that allows you to get notified on your device when important events occur while you are away.
Some of these events include:
- A new conversation was initiated by a new contact;
- A conversation assigned to you gets a new message;
- Someone on your team mentioned you in a note.
How to set up push notifications on Rasayel
When you first log into Rasayel, you will be asked this prompt to give permissions to Rasayel to notify you.
If you want to receive notifications click on the Notify me option. Otherwise, you won't be bothered again until your next login after some time has passed.
Also, you can always change the notification settings through Rasayel dashboard:
- Go to your notification settings from the navigation sidebar
- Click on the notify me button and you should see the prompt again.
How to modify your list of important events
- Go to “Notifications”
- Tick the events you want to be notified about
How to enable push notifications on your browser
Follow the instructions depending on your browser.
Troubleshooting
I have denied/blocked permissions and I want to enable
In that case, go to your notification settings and should see this message
That means you need to change the permissions to allow Rasayel to send you notifications.
Each browser does it differently, so follow the instructions for your browser:
After you are done, you need to reload the page and you should see the red text warning gone, and instead, you should see a "Notify me" button. Click on it.
Now a prompt will show up asking you for permissions, click on "Notify me".
